When Caroline Kennedy attended the Met Gala last year, everyone was stunned when they saw the young man who was on her arm. Though the young man had not been to many high society events, he looked very familiar to onlookers!
Caroline is the daughter of former President John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy, and she has been in the spotlight for her entire life.
Caroline is also the only surviving child of the couple after her younger brother John F. Kennedy Jr. passed away in a plane crash in 1999.
Caroline has been married to Edwin Schlossberg since 1986, and they have three children together: two girls and one boy.
Many are now saying that Caroline’s youngest child, 24 year-old Yale graduate John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, is the spitting image of both his grandfather and his uncle!
“[He] loves being compared to him,” a family friend said of John’s resemblance to his uncle.
“Caroline is very caring but not a helicopter parent,” another family friend says. “A supportive and low-key mom, she tries to maintain a sense of normalcy. But when you name your kid John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg he was going to be noticed.”
“He’s very much focused on making his own path and not just the past. But he’s not spending a lot of time thinking about his family’s legacy or anything. He has to do his homework, study for exams and hang out with friends. He’s not walking around with a big sign above him, he’s proud of his family but he’s modest,” a source said.
John appears to be interested in a potential political career, as he once worked as a Senate page, and interned for Senator John Kerry.
“I’m inspired by my family’s legacy of public service. It’s something that I’m very proud of, but I’m still trying to make my own way, figure things out, so stay tuned,” John once said.
We can’t wait to see where life takes this young man!
