Tattoos are interesting because they can be both a positive and a negative thing at the same time. They are edgy and unique, they can be an excellent conversation starter and an ice-breaker at parties. At the same time, some tattoos can look very dated today (like the "tribal" tattoos that were all the rage back in the late 1990s), or in the case of today's tattoos, they could have been covered-up so many times that they have lost their original point.
How Many Times Can You Find True Love?
Here is a tattoo some guy wears on his right arm. The good thing that you can instantly tell about him is that he is an optimist - no matter how many times love has failed him, he blindly leaps forward time and time again. Maybe girl #5 is going to be the right one?
No One Likes Andy
Here is a relationship cover-up tattoo, done on some girl's back. There was obviously a time when she loved Andy with her whole heart - that's why she tattooed his name on her. Yet, that time passed, and the tattoo stayed - until she added "Screw You" to it.
One of the biggest problems all people with tattoos face is that growing up, a lot of tattoos can lose their meaning. This girl, for example, had a great Hello Kitty tattoo, but she obviously outgrew her former self, so that's she her old tattoo covered up.
Can't Hide From the Playboy Bunny
Here is a tattoo that was placed on some girl's back. Originally, she had a red-version of the Playboy bunny tattooed on her back, which she tried to cover up with a heart. When that didn't work out, she did yet another tattoo, and her whole back looks like a mess now.
"They Broke Up"
Here is another insane tattoo cover-up. The guy that had the original tattoo obviously loved his girl. Sadly, something bad happened to their relationship, which means they broke up. He was so angry at her, that he remade her into the devil himself.
The Smart Cover-up
A lot of the people whose tattoos we are seeing today, seem to have completely messed up their cover-up efforts. Not this guy thought - he had a small, black and white Pikachu, and he added another larger, colorful Pikachu once he got the money for a better tattoo.
Becoming an Atheist
Religious tattoos can be a difficult thing to have, especially if you are prone to changing your mind about what deity you believe in, or if you even believe at all. That's what happened to this guy who became an atheist and had to redo his old tattoo.
He Sold His Hyundai
At one point in his life, this guy obviously loved his Hyundai. Yet, something changed, perhaps the car became unreliable (which is uncommon with Hyundai cars since they are well built), so he cover-up the Hyundai logo with a wrecking ball.
This Looks Bad
Here is a photo of some guy's wrist, that is probably going to take the award "worst tattoo cover-up ever." He obviously wanted to hide his old tattoo, but he didn't have to darken his whole hand like that. Now it looks like he has some disease.
Love and Hate
This tattoo cover-up is similar to one of the previous ones - where a guy changed his girl's face into the devil. The owner of this tattoo did something similar - he changed the heart tattoo that was on his left arm into an image of the devil.
The New Tattoo Is Even Worse
Here is a photo of a tattoo, that was originally kind of amateurish looking. Once the owner had more money, he decided to add more elements to the original ink, but somehow his "improved" tattoo now looks even worse than the previous one.
This Is Not a Proper Cover-up
This tattoo "cover-up" looks to be one of the worst yet from today's series. It kind of looks like no serious artist did this - it's as if the owner bought a needle and some ink on a website, and tried to do it himself at home.
This Is Supposed to Be a Panther
This tattoo is supposed to be an illustration of an angry, dangerous, and strong panther. Yet all it does, in the end, is look like the panther is in horrible pain and discomfort due to being bitten by the weird plant-monster.
The Grim Reaper
This tattoo cover-up is another in the series of guys that change their girlfriend's faces or heart tattoos into something more sinister looking. This guy, for example, went through 2-phases to change his girl's face into the grim reaper himself.
Here is a weird tattoo cover-up. This girl's previous tattoo wasn't that bad looking - the idea was nice, it's just that the implementation was bad. Yet, once she redid her old tattoos, she decided to cover up the lady's breasts with a dark bra.
